Meet Shally Zomorodi & Pete Wietzner
   
   
   

Shally Zomorodi is no stranger to Orange County... Zomorodi used to intern at the Orange County New Channel while attending the California State University of Fullerton where she earned her Bachelor's Degrees in both Communications and Political Science. Prior to KDOC, Shally was reporting and hosting for LA Cityview Channel 35 in Los Angeles. She has also broadcasted internationally while reporting for Voice of America. Shally began her news career as a news assistant for KTTV FOX 11 in Los Angeles. She got her first on-air reporting position in Beaumont, Texas where Shally was a morning reporter waking up the residents of Southeast Texas every morning at 6am. Shally is bi-lingual. She speaks Farsi and English and loves Persian Food. Shally, her husband Behrooz, and their two dogs call Orange County home.

Pete Weitzner has interviewed three presidents, scores of business leaders and hundreds of ordinary people in his 17 years as a journalist in Orange County. Most recently, he anchored the business news report on the newscast for Orange County PBS affiliate, KOCE-TV. Pete has hosted local election coverage; and served as a media and business expert for KTTV-Fox 11. He leads the Broadcast Journalism program at Chapman University; and has earned a BA in economics from Rutgers University and a Master's degree from Northwestern University. Pete lives in Corona del Mar.
